About the Author
Cypher (she/her) is a self-taught and community-taught brown, queer, and working-class Tamizh diaspora writer in Canada. Her writing is musical, political, philosophical, and introspective. She is an intersectional feminist who is equally concerned with everyday joy as she is with our long-term collective liberation. Her work has been featured by Wildscape Literary Journal, OTHERSIDE, FeelsZine and several other publications.
Aside from writing and reading, Cypher loves to draw and create graphic designs. In her spare time, she watches local music and theatre performances, spends time with her father and brother, and plays board games with her friends. Cypher’s first full-length poetry collection, The Self is an Ocean, is out now with DarkWinter Press.
