When a magical accident reveals the strings of fate, a wandering demon mercenary becomes entangled with her soulmate, a tea maker who is struggling to revive her parents' floating teahouse, in Tea Leaves & Fate Strings, the newest cozy YA fantasy from New York Times -bestselling author C.B. Lee.
Entirely devoted to tea-making, Hanh has never paid much attention to her soulmark. She knows her destiny is to revive her parents' teahouse rather than look for someone she'll likely never meet.
Although Yingyue had always dreamed of a soulmate, she gave up on romance and love when she breathed her last as a human, and now settles for a solitary life sending other demons back to the Lower Realms and searching for the perfect bowl of noodles.
The appearance of the strings of fate offer not just a tantalizing glimpse of destiny, but a direction and a bearing. Formerly fear-stricken travelers start to brave the wilds for their destiny, bringing business - and Yingyue - to Hanh's village, awakening the possibility of a real future for the teahouse and Hanh's dreams.
Neither Hanh nor Yingyue have any intentions of following their strings, but fate has different plans in store...
