About the Author

Sonia Sulaiman is an award-winning author of speculative fiction inspired by Palestinian folklore. Her work has appeared in ArabLit Quarterly, Beladi, FIYAH, Lackington’s Magazine, Seize the Press, and other venues. Her stories have been anthologized in Xenocultivars: Stories of Queer Growth, Year’s Best Canadian Fantasy & Science Fiction, If There’s Anyone Left Vol 4, INARA: Light of Utopia, and more. 

She has won the Ember Award for contributions to genre, and her editorial debut, Thyme Travellers: An Anthology of Palestinian Speculative Fiction, won the Ignyte Award for best anthology, and was a finalist for the Locus.
